Adventures in Milan during the Italian Grand Prix

The name Milan means kind, loving, and gracious which perfectly describes this city full of fast cars, fashion, and beautiful people. The Italian Grand Prix is located in Monza, which is very close to the metropolitan area of Milan and there are vast options available to you while you are not at the racetrack, Autodromo Nazionale Monza. Here are some of our favorite places for you to add to your must-see list during your weekend in Italy:


Quadrilatero d’Oro  

Known to be one of the most iconic places to go haute couture shopping, the Quadrilatero d’Oro, or Rectangle of Gold, has many boutiques that fit into just a couple city blocks. This is where you can find brands such as Dior, Hermès, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Celine, Gucci, and more. You'll want to bring your wallet and dress your best to venture through these shops.


Duomo di Milano

The spellbinding archways and peaks of the Duomo are known around the world as the iconic symbol of Milan. This breathtaking  place of prayer expresses the dedication of humanity toward the Divine and deeply embodies the memories and teachings of the Bishops who called this Cathedral home. Be sure to spend a moment basking in the glory of this ornate monument to religion and the history of Milan.


La Scala Opera

Built in 1778, this legendary opera house provides tourist and locals alike with history, incredible performances, and views of Milan unlike any other. Many great composers such as, Rossini, Puccini, Toscanini, and Verdi, wrote and conducted works in this theatre . Somewhere that once was a meeting place for the elite in Milan, is now where many people can enjoy the performances of La Scala and hear the whispers of performances past.
