Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.jpg

This ornate structure is one of the most recognized in the world for its craftsmanship of 1,000 pillars and delicate floral designs that are inlaid into more than 100,000 tons of pure white Greek and Macedonian marble, including semi-precious stones. One of the more impressive features of the Mosque is the world’s largest loomed carpet that took two airplanes to reach Abu Dhabi. The carpet is estimated to contain two billion, 268 million knots! Visitors are welcome to visit the Mosque except during prayer times which you can find listed on the website. This breathtaking feature of Abu Dhabi is one that you should mark on your calendars to visit.

Note: If you plan to enter the mosque, you must be wearing loose, ankle-length clothing including slacks or a skirt, long sleeves, and women must wear a headscarf. If you do not have one, a headscarf can be borrowed outside of security for free.

Etihad Towers

These five towers reach towards the sun and encompass all that Abu Dhabi has to offer. Three of the towers are residential, one is the Jumeirah hotel, and the final an office tower. The complex has shopping, underground parking, dining, and the popular Observation 300 on the 74th floor of the Jumeirah. At Observation 300, guests can enjoy “The Highest High Tea” which is a very popular dining experience with breathtaking views of the city below.
