Located off the Ise Bay in Japan, Suzuka is a smaller city outside one of the country’s largest cities, Nagoya. One of the main attractions every year for Suzuka is the Formula One Japanese Grand Prix, but we’ve gathered up a list of other activities for you to enjoy during your time Japan, also known as the “Land of the Rising Sun.”
Places To Explore
Known for being the home of Toyota, it comes to no surprise that Nagoya has an extensive museum on the famous car brand. Section out some time to visit this museum because it’s very large, but also very interactive with different demonstrations and live shows!
Located just north of the Nagoya city center, the Nagoya Castle is a 17th-century castle located in a park that has exhibits to stroll through and learn about the history of this ornate building. Take the elevator up to the top floor of the Main Donjon to the seventh-floor observation deck for amazing views of Nagoya.
Based on the east side of Nagoya, the Higashiyama Zoo & Botanical Gardens are a perfect place to explore and meet the animals of Japan. Spend an afternoon strolling through the gardens, or a morning viewing a feeding for one of the many animals that call the zoo home.
