The French Grand Prix made a popular return to the F1® calendar last weekend as Lewis Hamilton took the spoils after a dominant performance on Sunday. Here’s our highlights from a big weekend at Circuit Paul Ricard.
Exclusive Pit Lane Walk, Drive the Track Tour & Photo Op with the Championship Trophies
Our Fan Package holders began their weekend in Le Castellet on Thursday evening with an Exclusive Pit Lane Walk. The teams were hard at work preparing the cars for the beginning of the on-track sessions, and we even spotted a few drivers. A relaxed Daniel Ricciardo was more than happy to pose with one of our youngest guests before heading out on his bicycle (see below). Next, we hit the tarmac for our Drive the Track Tour, in which professional guides talked our guests around a lap of this unique circuit. A successful first day at the track concluded with a photo op on the Main Straight with the World Championship trophies!
Paddock Club Party with Alain Prost
After the first day of on-track action in France, our Trophy and Hero guests gathered for a special meeting with a living legend in the luxurious confines of the Formula One Paddock Club™. The special guest for our Paddock Club Party was none other than 4-time World Champion Alain Prost, who achieved four victories at Circuit Paul Ricard in a glittering career. After an enlightening Q&A session, Prost stayed around to pose for some photos with our guests, including an awesome group selfie taken by the man himself.
Insider Access to the F1® Paddock & Photo Op on the Podium
Friday’s activities for our Trophy and Hero guests concluded with Insider Access to the F1® Paddock. As well as meeting Formula 2 driver Santino Ferrucci and Safety Car Driver Bernd Mayländer, we also took our guests behind the scenes in the driver’s cool down room and finished with photos atop the winners’ podium alongside a big red gorilla!
Romain Grosjean visits our Champions Club
After qualifying on Saturday, local driver Romain Grosjean from the Haas F1® Team paid a special visit to our Champions Club. The Frenchman posed for photos with our guests and also signed copies of the cookbook he published together with his wife last year.
