Jennifer VanSparrentak (middle in main image below), who hails from Sterling Heights, MI and now live in Charlotte, NC is our Director of Operations for North America. Jennifer has been working at QuintEvents for 4 years and currently oversees the F1 Experiences programme in Canada, the USA and Mexico, as well as a host of other experience programmes at North American sports events.
Were you involved in event work before starting at QuintEvents?
Yes, I worked in Community Relations and non-profit for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club.
What does your role involve?
My job is a little bit of everything. I work with an incredible team to make sure everything that goes into a programme and experience happens. My primary role is to support our on-site team with everything from hospitality, transportation, ticketing and more! I am also the primary point of contact for our organizing partners. The most stressful part is managing your time to make sure all 80+ events each year are planned as well as possible since there is rarely a break and they often overlap.
What’s the best part about working with F1 Experiences?
I love the people I get to work with and the opportunity to travel the world, as well as helping our guests to get the most out of their once in a lifetime experiences.
Would you recommend the F1 Experiences programme to F1 fans?
Absolutely. Not only does the team work tirelessly to provide an incredible experience, the access to the sport, including the teams and drivers, is unparalleled.
What do you most miss about being away from home so often?
I definitely miss sleeping in my own bed and spending time with friends and family. When I’m home, I try to relax as much as possible, spend time outside and try new restaurants.
What’s your favourite F1 city and why?
Mexico City was my first race, so I have to say that’s my favorite! I also love all the activity and culture around the city during race weekend.
Best travel hack?
Always carry a portable charger!
Do you have a favourite driver or team?
Not really. I try to be neutral, but I do have a tendency to cheer for whichever team or drivers were with us that weekend during events.
Make a bold prediction for the second half of 2019.
I think we’ll see another podium with no Mercedes drivers!
