Formula 1 Action

The Formula 1 action kicks off in Mexico at 10:00 on Friday with the first 90-minute practice session. A second practice session runs from 14:00-15:30 on Friday afternoon. On Saturday, the final 60-minute F1 practice session starts at 10:00 before the qualifying shootout from 13:00. The 2019 Mexican Grand Prix starts at 13:10 on Sunday afternoon.

Support Races

For the second year running, the support programme at the Mexico Grand Prix includes the final two rounds of the 2019 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, which normally only compliments the F1 programme in Europe. The Panamericana Series and Formula 4 NACAM Championship will also be on track at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez this year.

Podium Celebrations & Post-race concert

Unique to Mexico, the podium celebrations after the race take place in the stadium section of the circuit rather than next to the start-finish line. This gives thousands of additional fans the chance to get involved in the post-race atmosphere. Mexico has also made history by becoming the first Grand Prix to welcome a DJ on to the podium after the race. This year, Dutch progressive house music DJ and producer DJ Tiësto will be playing a set to close out the weekend.
